Dental Implants
Having missing or loose teeth can make everyday things a lot harder; whether it's eating certain foods, struggling to speaking clearly, or feeling self-conscious about your smile. There are a few different ways to fix this, and which one's right depends on how many teeth are missing, the health of the teeth around the gap, and your jawbone. This is why we'll talk through the options at a consultation rather than assume one answer fits everyone.

Those foods you've been avoiding because they hurt to eat can return to your diet again. The urge to cover your mouth when laughing with friends or smiling in photos can become a thing of the past. Dental implants are an investment in yourself that has left many patients feeling far happier and much more confident after getting the treatment.
How do dental implants work?
Dental implants integrate with your jawbone, making them a permanent solution for replacing missing or loose teeth. A titanium post is placed directly into your jawbone, acting as an artificial root. Once it's integrated (fused with the bone), we attach a replacement tooth on top that's shaped and coloured to match your own. Because it's anchored the same way a natural tooth is, it functions the same way too. You eat and clean around it normally, and it doesn't rely on the teeth next to it for support the way a bridge does.
Dental Bridges
A dental bridge replaces a missing tooth by anchoring an artificial one to the natural teeth on either side of the gap. The treatment is a two-step process: at your first appointment, we'll prepare the surrounding teeth and take impressions to fabricate your prosthetic tooth. The lab will return it in around two weeks, at which point we'll see you again to attach your bridge.
Bridges are usually a metal base with porcelain covering any visible surface, so they look natural and blend in with the surrounding teeth. With proper cleaning, a bridge typically lasts up to 15 years. They can also replace more than one missing tooth, depending on how strong the neighbouring teeth are. They're often used as an alternative to removable partial dentures.
Dentures
Chrome dentures (also known as cast partial dentures) are a type of removable denture made from a cast metal framework, with acrylic resin teeth and base. The metal framework provides strength and durability to the denture, while the acrylic resin ensures a comfortable and natural-looking fit.
Chrome dentures are a popular option for patients with multiple missing teeth, as they offer a secure and stable fit, are easy to clean and maintain, and can last for many years with proper care.
