Emergency dentistry

If you're in pain, we'll do everything we can to get you seen quickly. We know that dental emergencies don't wait for a convenient time, so we purposefully keep space in the day for priority appointments. Whether you're already registered with us or you've never been to Holywood Dental Care before. 

 

What counts as a dental emergency?

​

• a toothache that's sudden, severe, or keeping you up at night

• a broken, chipped, or cracked tooth

• a tooth knocked out or partially knocked out (bring the tooth with you, and try to keep it moist if you're able to)

•  a lost filling or crown, especially if it's causing pain

• swelling, a dental abscess, or signs of infection

• ongoing bleeding or pain after a recent extraction or treatment

 

If you're not sure whether what you're dealing with counts, just give us a call and describe it so we can let you know. Rather than you sitting with it, it's always better to check. 

 

What happens when you call?

Ring the practice on 028 9042 3306, and we'll find you the next available priority slot. You don't need to be an existing patient either, as we welcome new and unregistered patients for emergency appointments.

An emergency appointment starts from £95, and you don't have to worry about running up fees without realising. We'll always confirm the cost of any treatment before we carry it out. 

 

Getting to us

 

We're at 94-96 High Street, Holywood, BT18 9HW. It's easy to reach from Belfast, Bangor, and Newtownards. Our regular hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm.
